We made it home from our trip to Destin, Florida! Our trip was a huge success. Let me give you a brief run down of events! First, we left home Friday afternoon and went to Texarkana to see James' grandparents. We spent one night at each house. We were able to go to Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, which was quite the culture shock, but fun. And on Saturday night James IV went for his first four wheeler ride and loved it!
We then left mid-morning Sunday to meet James' parents in Crossett. We brought down my old car to leave behind at our duplex, so we won't have to transport it in a month. We left for Florida around 3:00pm and started our drive. We had a blast and James really enjoyed the ride. Uncle B. sat beside him the first leg of the trip and James was happy, which was a huge blessing. We drove to Hattiesburg, Mississippi and spent the night. We eventually arrived in Florida on Monday afternoon. The gulf was beautiful! We went to the pool, the beach, and out to eat just about everyday!

Well, that is a pretty intense update! We had a great time. Now we are looking forward to our next trip to Iowa. We leave next Thursday! Between now and then we have next Tuesday, which is James' thesis defense...he is really anxious, but I know he will do great. Please be praying for James during this next week. For unspoken reasons please keep his family in your prayers.
