James,
Happy Birthday our sweet boy! We cannot believe it has already been one year since we welcomed you into this world! We remember that day so well. Mama got ready that morning with her mind set on our Halloween parties that night. Well, the Lord definitely had other wonderful plans for us! At the doctor, her blood pressure was high, and we decided today was the day! We were admitted into Labor and Delivery at 10:00am, but nothing was started until 11:15am. A few short hours later you were born at 6:00pm weighing 7lbs. 5oz. and you were 20 1/4 inches long! This was the most wonderful and exciting Halloween ever! You will always be our best Halloween treat!
From holding you the first time, we knew you were going to bless our lives in countless ways. Our life now had meaning and purpose - all because of this precious little child God gave to us. We are so grateful to have a son like you.
This year has been filled with firsts. Your first cry, smile, laugh, roll, time to hold your head up, sit up, crawl, and take a step - have all led to the joy and love in our lives. These firsts brought great joy to our life, but we now know that life is too short to pass up every moment with you! When God made you, He took everything that is perfect and formed this sweet child. We are so proud to be your parents. We always thank the Lord for this precious gift that we do not deserve.
You are one today, and we are so happy for what is coming up in your future. This year will bring about new firsts and lots of growing. Just know that you will always be our sweet baby boy who we love with all our hearts. Happy Birthday- Boo! We love you very much James!

Even though both grandparents reside there, we have decided due to the short amount of time there we will spend one trip at one house and the next time we will go to the other. We had a great time, we spent a lot of time just hanging out with grandparents - which was wonderful! 
Since James thinks it is time to get up around six everyday, we had a long Saturday to spend out there. We took advantage of that time and went for a very cold walk around 7:30am. We brought our new jogging stroller with us, and headed out on the farm. James was totally bundled up, but for the most part I think he enjoyed himself. We saw two horses and a donkey. James wasn't sure what to make of them...or me making those animal noises. Later that morning we were able to watch the Texas v. OU game (even though I took a nap for about half of it). Then the Razorbacks were on and we definitely got WAY too worked up for that game. It was a great game, but the results were not what we were looking for! Then another football game came on that night, but I barely watched any after the Hogs lost.
