Judd's Birthday Party

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we celebrated our friend, Judd's, birthday party. He turned 2 on December 2nd.

We spent Thanksgiving at home this year. Lolli and Poppi came to spend the long weekend with us. Both boys came down with high fever and were miserable the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, so it was good we were home. They just had a virus that ran its course in about 36 hours. The boys were not the happiest campers, but we coped with them and had a great time regardless.

Daddy smoked his first turkey and it was good!

Then, for Boo's birthday/Christmas present he got his very own airplane! Poppi and Lolli made this pedal pusher plane for him. He is a little too small for it now, but he only needs a couple of inches and to learn how to pedal.

Poppi got this grill for free and brought it for us! The guys put it together while the turkey was smoking.

Putting up the Christmas Tree

We put our tree up November 19th this year, and we had quite an adventure doing it!

This picture was taken right before the tree fell on Dylan, which resulted in a few scratches and lots of tears! The tree was heavier than Daddy thought!

And what we had to do to the tree because within two hours time, Kiki bit off two of the glass bulbs and they shattered everywhere. So...we wrapped the tree up for the night and next day while we were out of town. Then, Sunday we cut every pre-lit bulb off the tree and strung LED lights so Kiki wouldn't bite them off and have glass everywhere! But don't worry, we didn't buy this tree, but I was SO SAD to have to cut the bulbs off. That is what made it soooo nice! The things we do for our cat!
