Our life the past two weeks...

Life has been crazy, but then again it always is! Let me preface these pics by saying Daddy sat on the camera and cracked the screen, so most of the pics we could barely see what we were taking a picture of. And James got a hold of the camera and I think there are some little finger prints on some. Sorry some are blurry and some are not great, but it is the memories we want to have. We hope these pictures brighten your day!

James thought it was fun to chase us, but would laugh and scream when we chased him with celery! It was so much fun!

After surgery...poor daddy. He is sucking on a tetracaine lollipop which helps soothe the throat. He was still trying to wake up and he would fall asleep with it in his mouth and when people would be talking to him.

Four Months!

Well due to the post below, I do not have any pictures to post and this will be a short update on Dylan. Our sweet 'little' boy is four months old! How can that be?! Here is what he is up to:

*Weighs 17 lbs. 4 oz. - 90%

*26 1/2 inches long - 90%

*Nurses every 3 hours and wakes once a night

*Wakes around 7 am and goes to bed around 7 pm

*Takes 3 naps per day

*Rolls over from tummy to back and back to tummy

*Has perfected taking a bottle for others

*Giggles when we tickle him - it is the cutest thing EVER

*Sits in bumbo chair for long periods of time

*Loves to watch his brother play

*Really wants to suck his thumb, but Mama keeps trying to put the paci in instead!

Dylan Allen,

This month has been crazy! We travelled home for the first time, and you did great! We also endured staying with our neighbor multiple times so Mama and Dada could go see doctors. We have enjoyed seeing you grow and change everyday. We love to spend time singing songs with you and brother and you always smile. We love you so much, and we thank God for such a perfect little family!

Tonsilectomy...

Today, Daddy had his tonsils and adenoids removed. The surgery went well and the boys were taken care of by two wonderful friends. Right now he is in pain and has drainage in his throat, which is very uncomfortable. He has tried to take his pain medicine since being home and has not been able to keep it down. Please keep us in your prayers. Pray for a quick recovery for Daddy, patience and strength for me, and for our boys to be as understanding as a baby can be. I have hit a wall tonight and broke down. I am just drained in every way possible. Doing everything without help from family today has been a challenge (mainly emotionally) and I pray I will overcome my emotions and take care of my sweet boys.

Everytime I would say "Moo" for one of James' bedtime books Dylan was stick out his lip really far.

This looks really mean, but he would smile right after I would stop mooing. His expression is just priceless!

James woke up from nap and wanted Dylan in bed with him. When I laid Dylan in there, James started blowing on Dylan's belly. It was so cute!

James used his 4 wheeler to get inside the entertainment center and sit. This was him getting back down. He is quite the little monkey!

James is giving Dylan a high five while I am making lunch. James pushed Dylan around the kitchen while I cooked and it kept them both entertained!

Dylan is trying out his exersaucer for the first time. He really liked spinning the monkey around. He is getting so big!

Fayetteville!

Since James was on call for July 4th, he was able to use comp time to take a mini vacation home! We had a great time seeing family and friends. This was Dylan's first time to go to Fayetteville, and of course everyone loved seeing us...mainly the boys though! :) We spent half a day at the U of A seeing old friends and catching up. We had Dylan's three month pictures taken at Bedfords one morning, and spent the afternoon at Gigi and Pumper's house. We visited Poppi at Tyson, Lolli at the U of A, and Pumper at the U of A too! We shopped a little another day, and we visited my boys I used to nanny for on Sunday. The trips home never are long enough, and they are filled to the max with events. We are looking forward to football season and the couple of trips home then! Here are a few pictures of our trip:

And the only toy he played with the whole car trip was that little yellow monkey, Reese, he is holding. Reese danced and played for a couple of hours!

Poppi and Lolli's neighbors pulled out their pool and invited James to swim. It was super hot and James really enjoyed cooling off!

He loves to pour water over his head! He even tried to pour water on the other's heads.

James rode in their car too. He did NOT want to leave when it was time to go inside for dinner!

ThReE mOnThS!!!

Dylan is three months old...well he was two weeks ago. He is changing so much!

*Weighs about 16lbs.

*About 26 inches long

*Wears 3-6 month and 6 month clothes

*Wears size 2 diapers but will be in a 3 soon

*Nurses every 3 hours during the day

*Wakes up once a night to eat for the majority of a week

*Naps three times a day

*Nurses around 7:00 and goes to bed around 7:30

*Wakes in the morning around 7:00

*Loves to smile and coo

*Rolled over from tummy to back! (3 months and 1 week)

Dylan, you are such a sweet little boy. You have really changed this month. You are so happy and love to be with your mama! You smile when your big brother comes around, and you melt our hearts. We love this age so much because we can talk to you and you smile and talk back. We love it! Everyday is something new with you and your brother and we are looking forward to the upcoming days and months! We love you so much!
